MLB Daily Pitch 8/26/19: FanDuel & DraftKings Sportsbook Betting Odds & Analysis

ny betting news mlb daily pitch 4

After a 2-1 day on Sunday, my record improved to 42-30-1 on the season against the spread. The Yankees stretched their lead in the AL East to nine games with an impressive 5-1 win over the Dodgers, taking two out of three against the NL’s top team. The Mets closed out a tough series by getting swept against the NL’s other top team, the Braves, but stayed two games back in the NL wild card. We continue to give you three free picks every day here at NY Betting News., breaking down the games and giving you insight on specific teams, including one from New York. Here are today’s suggested bets using the lastest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. and Draftking Sportsbook

New York Yankees at Seattle Mariners

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: NO LINE

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: NO LINE

yankeesCurrently no line is out yet for the Yankees road game Monday night against the Seattle Mariners as the Mariners have not yet announced a starting pitcher. The Yankees are sending J.A. Happ (10-8, 5.58) to the hill who has enjoyed a mix of up-and-down performances over the month of August, trading wins and losses. No matter what the spread is, I do like the Yankees to win the game tonight on the road. They have grabbed back momentum that they had lost after a brutal series on the road in Oakland. The Yankees have feasted on struggling teams this year. They are 13-4 against teams with a losing record in the second half of the season thus far. The Mariners come in playing better baseball over the second half than they had in the first half, but have not had success at home. They are a disappointing 29-37 at Safeco Field. No matter what the spread is, I will take the Yankees -1.5, which will likely be somewhere in the ball park of -110 to -150.

Atlanta Braves -157 at Colorado Rockies

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Atl -153

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Atl -157

atlanta bravesThe Atlanta Braves travel to Colorado to take on the Rockies to begin a three-game series on Monday. The Braves are rolling, winning eight games in a row and are now within shouting distance of the Dodgers for home-field advantage in the National League for the playoffs. To help the Braves case more tonight, they send Julio Tehran (8-8, 3.53) to the mound who is coming off a shutout winning performance last week. The Rockies will counter with Tim Melville (1-0, 1.29) making just his second ever career start. While he turned heads in his first start, doing it against the Braves is different than doing it against the Diamondbacks. It’s been a rough stretch of baseball for the Rockies. They are 1-6 in their last seven games and have fallen to 15 games under .500, completely out of the playoff race. Atlanta owns the second-best road record in baseball at 41-25. It’s too hard to pick against the Braves at this point, especially with odds where you really don’t have to lay down any runs. Give me the Braves to keep streaking and keep winning.

Pittsburgh Pirates at Philadelphia Phillies -134

FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Phi -131

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Phi -134

philliesThe Philadelphia Phillies head home to entertain their cross-state foe the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game series starting Monday night. The Phillies are fighting for their playoff lives and sit a game and a half out of the last NL wild card spot. Jason Vargas (6-6, 3.99) will take the mound for the Phillies while the Pirates will counter with Joe Musgrove (8-12, 4.74), who has lost his last three decisions. The good news for the Pirates is they have won three games in a row and playing some of their best baseball of the season. The bad news? They have to go on the road where they have been abysmal. The Pirates are 12 games under .500 away from home while the Phillies have one of the better home records in baseball at 38-28. The Phillies are getting into must-win situations and need to win the games they should win. This is one of those tonight. The Phillies will want it more. They need it. I’ll take the Phillies for the win.
