A 2-0 night last night with a rainout improves my record to 20-12 on the season and 18-6 ATS. The Yankees continued their domination of the Orioles by sweeping the doubleheader yesterday. Meanwhile, the Mets were off and get ready for a big three-game set against the NL East leading Braves. Every day on NY Betting News, we will provide you with three picks, with one of those picks being one of the New York teams, as long as they are in action. Today, we take a look at FanDuel Sportsbook odds for the recommended sports bets.
Baltimore Orioles at New York Yankees -2
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: NYY -2 (-126)
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: NYY -2 (-130)
The Yankees continue to dominate the Orioles this season, now winners of 14 straight in the series. They have won by 2+ runs in 14 of their last 15 contests and have been dominant at home of late, winning their last seven home games, each one of those wins by 2+ runs. The Orioles, on the other side of things, continue to go in the wrong direction, losing seven of their last eight games and giving up 51 runs in their last five losses to the Yankees. John Means (8-7, 3.36) is the only saving grace for the Orioles tonight as he has been their best pitcher, despite his losing effort to the Yankees last week. The Yankees will send up Domingo German (15-2, 4.05) who is 3-0 against the Orioles this season. I’ll take the Yankees to continue their domination of the Orioles here. Take the Yankees -2.
Houston Astros -2 at Chicago White Sox (Game 1)
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Hou -2 (-139)
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Hou -2 (-136)
Last night’s game between the Astros and White Sox was rained out leading to a doubleheader today in Chicago. The Astros offense comes into Chicago scoring 58 runs over their last five games. No, that’s not a misprint….58 runs, which includes a 23-run performance on Saturday night against the Orioles. Despite their 8-7 loss on Sunday, the Astros are still winners in 16 of their last 21 games and have a commanding lead in the AL West. In Game 1, Zack Greinke (0-1, 7.50) will get his second start for the Astros and faces off against struggling White Sox pitcher Dylan Cease (2-4, 6.00). This will be just the second series of the year this year between the Astros and White Sox with the two teams splitting the first series. With the Astros offense clicking the way it is, they will stay hot in Chicago. I‘ll go with Houston -2.
Texas Rangers at Toronto Blue Jays +125
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Tor +123
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Tor +125
Surprisingly, the Toronto Blue Jays have been one of the more dangerous teams to play of late. Tonight, they are getting solid value with the opportunity to win more money than you put down. Last night, the Blue Jays beat the Rangers 19-4 and are coming in winning a series at Tampa Bay and splitting against the Yankees. Tonight, they’ll face a challenge going up against Lance Lynn (14-7, 3.60) while the Blue Jays will counter with Thomas Pannone (2-5, 6.83). The pitching matchup gives the Rangers the edge here, despite being losers in five of their last six. However, there’s just too much momentum going in opposite directions here, and despite the favorable pitching matchup for Texas, I don’t see them stopping a hot Toronto team. I like the value here. I’ll go with the Blue Jays for the win.
