After going 2-1 last night, my record moves to 15-9 for the betting season. One of the teams that got me a win was the Mets who won their eighth straight by rallying to beat the Nationals 7-6. However, the Yankees win streak came to and end as they lost to the Blue Jays. Each day on NY Betting News, you will get free picks which includes one of the New York teams, as long as they are in action. Today, we take a look at FanDuel Sportsbook odds for the recommended sports bets.
New York Yankees at Toronto Blue Jays OVER 4.5 runs
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Tor OVER 4.5 runs (-120)
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: NYM +108 (-118)
The Blue Jays host the Yankees this afternoon after ending their nine-game win streak last night. Chad Green (2-3, 4.93) will face off against Jacob Waguespack (3-1, 4.00). Masahiro Tanaka was originally supposed to start this game but was scratched in favor of Green who has had his ups and downs of late. The Blue Jays are one of the few teams to have some success against the Yankees this year, winning four games against them this season. Their offense has scored five or more runs in 10 of their last 14 games and their last four at home. Who wins the game could go either way, but I do think runs will be scored. I’ll take Toronto scoring OVER 4.5 runs.
Atlanta Braves -2 at Miami Marlins
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Atl -2 +106
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Atl -2 +102
Despite a rough night on Thursday that saw Atlanta do everything “un-Atlanta like”, the Braves bounced back on Friday and easily took care of the Marlins. Tonight, the Braves send the NL’s third-best pitcher to the mound in terms of ERA, Mike Soroka (10-2, 2.45), who has dominated the Marlins this season, giving up just one earned run over two games. The Marlins will counter with Sandy Alcantara (4-10, 4.50) who has given up 18 earned runs over his last four games. The Braves are 11-3 against the Marlins so far this year and should continue their run today against them. I’ll go with the Braves -2 runs.
Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati Reds -109
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: Cin -104
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Cin -109
The Cincinnati Reds are one of baseball’s sneaky good teams that just seem to play better against baseball’s best teams. Against the Cubs this year, they are 8-6 and 4-2 at home. Today, they send Sonny Gray (6-6, 3.25) to the mound to face off against Kyle Hendricks (8-8, 3.06). The Cubs have had their issues on the road this year. Despite leading the NL Central and being 10 games over .500, they are 22-34 on the road. The Reds, on the other hand, have played solid at home, sporting a 32-27 record at their home park. Given the Reds success this year against the Cubs and at home, I will go with the Reds to continue to be a thorn in the Cubs side. Give me the Reds and the win.
