Shane Bieber had an excellent night on the hill, and hit his strikeout prop. Noah Syndergaard’s inept ability to get guys out on two strikes and Jordan Lyles getting blown up was the downside. It was another 1-2 night, moving the overall record to 15-9. There is just six games on tonight’s slate, and the Yankees will take a visit to Boston for a big series. New York and Boston are both coming off big series wins against potential playoff opponents. Tonight we take a look at FanDuel Sportsbook odds.
New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox Over 11.5
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: -104
The two London games throw a wrench into the over record, but this has been more of a .500 bet over the last year with the over. However, the over is 33-12-1 on the road, while the over is 29-20 at home for the Red Sox. Both offenses come in averaging over 5.5 runs per game this season. Masahiro Tanaka has allowed 12 runs to the Red Sox in his last three starts, but one of those games was in London. Rick Porcello is in the same boat, allowing 12 runs in his last three starts against the Yankees. One of those was in London as well. Over has been friendly for both teams of late, and we should see that again tonight. Both teams are implied for about 5.5 runs, and the Yankees have a prime shot to destroy Porcello again and get to his pedestrian Boston bullpen.
Baltimore Orioles @ Los Angeles Angels -1.5
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: -124
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: -120
The Angels come in as -217 favorites tonight, but we can get a better deal on the spread. The Orioles do not come to Los Angeles all that much, but over the last ten games at Angels Stadium, the Angels are 7-3. Los Angeles is 59-44 ATS this season, where the Orioles are 42-59. Los Angeles continues to roll out these slight bullpen games, but it has been working for the Angels. Coming in winning the last five against Baltimore, and the Angels took care of business against the Orioles earlier this season. Baltimore has the 27th ranked OPS as a team, compared to the Angels at 11th. The Orioles sit dead last in team ERA, and the Angels offense should be able to capitalize on this group of arms.
Texas Rangers @ Oakland Athletics -1.5
FanDuel Sportsbook Odds: +106
DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: +108
You have to go back to August 22nd the last time Texas won in Oakland. The A’s are 8-2 against Texas at home over the last ten games. Ariel Jurado has allowed 16 ER in his last three starts, and the downward trend continues. Brett Anderson continues to limit damage, and has gone six or more innings in the last three starts, allowing seven earned runs. Anderson is 2-1 in the last three starts against Texas, allowing a total of five earned runs. Oakland is 31-20 at home this season, and we have seen Texas fall off the map when on the road for offense. The Rangers are also subpar against left-handed pitching, and are 15-20 on the year.
